A feature story exploring the art of storytelling and its contemporary Southern practitioners, "Gullah Geechee Storyteller." Louise Miller Cohen specializes in the oral histories of the Gullah Geechee cultures during the post slavery generations. She holds in her hand dried grass meagerly fashioned into a doll shape that was used by the poverty-stricken African-American girls of that time for play.
