Rodney Smith's The End

2010 Design Annual
"The End is a surrealistic journey through the last twenty years of Rodney Smith's work. Beginning with a man leaping from the wing of an airplane, the book zigzags through the photographic world of Mr. Smith. Just as unpredictable is the book's text, written by Walter Thomas, which plays on well-known aphorisms (Better to have been married and divorced, than never divorced at all). The book's designer, David Meredith, collaborated to pair the imagery and text. The book was printed by Kim Blanchette of Blanchette Press in Vancouver, British Columbia. The End is limited to 975 signed copies."
