During this recession pet shelters throughout the country have become inundated with abandoned and discarded pets. Sacramento, California is no exception. The Sacramento SPCA partnered with local agency Glass McClure Advertising to develop a campaign to combat the growing problem. Using famous pets—graciously donated by United Feature Syndicate, Inc.(Snoopy); Paws Inc. (Garfield); and Warner Brothers (Shaggy)—the campaign reminds people how much better life is with a pet. In 2009, it’s anticipated that the Sacramento SPCA will easily surpass their yearly record for pet adoptions.
