Tilles Center for the Performing Arts environmental/identity
Environmental Graphics, Education
Constructed on the footprint of the original building, the new Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, located on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, features a spacious new atrium lobby with nearly 10,000 square feet of glass, granite and steel, seating for 2,200 spectators and a complete renovation of public areas. New York’s Poulin+Morris created the comprehensive environmental graphics, donor recognition, and wayfinding sign program for the Center; in keeping with the building's architectural vocabulary, signs are fabricated in glass, painted aluminum and stainless steel. Poulin+Morris also worked closely with the Center’s staff to develop new graphic identity/branding, promotional print and publication design standards. Included in the material is OnStage, a Fall 2004 calendar containing program and event listings/dates, order forms and seating charts—made available to the general public as a supplement to the Sunday New York Times.
