Battleship New Jersey "Heroes Behind the Heroes" campaign
Posters, Consumer
The Battleship New Jersey is known for its legendary firepower. New Jersey-based ad agency, Masterminds, was challenged with promoting “City at Sea,” a new tour on the famous ship that featured its safe and mundane areas, such as the dentist’s office, post office and laundromat—in short, anything but weapons and danger. The agency created this campaign using posters that looked like authentic World War II propaganda pieces to shine light on the fact that even the so-called safe jobs on the battleship were nothing short of heroic.
