Animal Care & Control of New York City advertising/awareness

Out-of-Home Ads, Public Service

Household pets are getting "booked" in the name of a new advertising and awareness campaign to benefit Animal Care & Control of New York City. Conceived and designed by New York branding and communications firm Unit7, these mugshot-style ads each depict a shelter pet that's been rescued and is in need of a good home. The ads stress that these animals are victims of circumstance and not abuse; their only crime is wanting a place to call home. The dramatic black-and-white images for the campaign were created pro bono by commercial/art photographer Howard Berman.

Mickey Paxton/David Mickle, Jr., art directors; Steven Capp, writer/creative director; Mickey Paxton, group creative director; Joe Cupani, chief creative officer; Jeff Harris, executive creative director; Howard Berman, b-hive, photographer; Janet McKenna, director of production; Barbara Pearson, production manager.
