A Cure for Night book jacket

Publications, Consumer

Justin Peacock received an MFA from Columbia University and a law degree from Yale. Prior to attending law school, he worked as an online producer at the New York Times. His legal experience ranges from death-penalty defense to First Amendment cases. The Boland Design Company, Califon, New Jersey created the cover for his debut novel, A Cure for Night. It avoids the more clichéd approaches typically associated with the crime genre and instead, combines a moody, color-saturated image with bold typography to evoke a gritty, realistic, and thoughtful take on Brooklyn and urban crime.

John Gall, Anchor Books, art director; Michael Boland, designer; Anchor Books, a division of Random House, client.
