Geico "Rhetorical Questions" TV commercial
TV/Radio Commercials, Consumer
The Martin Agency (Richmond, Virginia) recently launched four TV spots as part of a new campaign. During the last fifteen years, everyone’s heard Geico’s famous tagline “Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance.” With the tagline in mind, this campaign delivers Geico’s savings message with a refreshed twist: People know it so well, that it can now be phrased as a rhetorical question. Each spot (shown is “Too Tall”) begins with an investigative reporter-type host, played by Mike McGlone (from The Brothers McMullen,) asking the question, “Could switching to Geico really save you fiteen percent or more on car insurance?” The new creative joins their on-air rotation as the fifth current storyline, in addition to the “Gecko,” “Cavemen,” “Talking Accidents” and googly-eyed “Kash.”
