Goshen Coffee Company packaging

Goshen Coffee Company has been serving up uncompromisingly full-flavored, socially conscious whole-bean coffee in the St. Louis area for more than ten years. When a new owner took over the shop’s daily duties, local design studio AtomicDust was asked to reimagine Goshen’s packaging and website to better reflect its colorful attitude and commitment to unique, bohemian coffee. Comprised of coffee addicts and enthusiasts, the studio jumped at the challenge.

Research (and experience) showed the creative team that smaller coffee brands can seem elitist and exclusive. Capitalizing on the visual homogeny of the industry, they shook up that perception and created a bolder and more creative presence that helped Goshen stand out in a crowded market. Rebellious, independent and unique, without being gimmicky, the final packaging has two variants—one with a “Modern Rosie” by Canadian photographer Michaël Fournier—and custom labels for each of Goshen’s 25 blends.
