Burly jocks in skirts, dancing lasses, screeching bagpipes and whatever the hell haggis is—not things you’d expect to see in Tennessee. But for one weekend a year, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is transformed into Scotland as clans gather from around the world to celebrate all things Scottish. The copy in this series of print advertisements communicates the quirkiness of the events. The illustrations pay homage to Scottish history, while the silhouetted photography juxtaposes the scenic beauty of the Smokies with the Gaelic entertainers in their garb.
