The Killing main title
Motion Graphics, Entertainment
Working with the show’s executive producer/writer Veena Sud and AMC and Fox Television studios, Sarofsky Corp created this main title sequence for The Killing—a series that centers around the murder of a young girl and the subsequent police investigation. The story is presented from the perspective of a female detective in a moody, wet Seattle and multiple environments are seen through the foggy, rain-saturated windows of her car. The tonality reflects the haunting allure of the series through erratic and fast moving cuts to images of dead bodies and provides an introduction to the setting and the inner workings of the detective’s mind. The project was shot on location in Seattle using a RED One and the lighting effects were integrated into the footage.
