The Lazarus Covenant book jacket and trailer
Publications, Consumer
Winston-Salem, NC-based Wildfire designed the book jacket for Senior Special Forces officer John Fenzel’s first novel The Lazarus Covenant. Writing from his own experiences, the story explores the scourge of extremism, terrorism and war in a haunting tale of friendship, faith and forgiveness in settings that extend from the Oval Office to the Balkans, all in a time of extreme crisis. In the novel, the black bird is used as a symbol of faith and forgiveness between the two main characters, inspiring its use on the cover; blood represents war and struggle; and black brings the tone to a darker more serious level. A book trailer, running on the author’s Web site, adopts the look on the cover.
