Liberty Mutual "Dnt txt & drv" campaign
TV/Radio Commercials, Education
Every day millions of teen drivers engage in the life-threatening activity of texting while driving. To them it seems like an innocuous activity, but the facts tell a different story: Each year, 21 percent of fatal car crashes involving teens are the result of cell phone use. The statistics are haunting to say the least. Recently launched by Hill Holliday for Liberty Mutual, this campaign was created as part of the No Phone Zone initiative to educate parents and teens about the dangers of texting and driving. Using the imagery of crashed text and the familiar abbreviations, LOL, BTW, and OMG the work drives home the message about how dangerous it can be to text when behind the wheel.
