When Maharam opened its LA showroom, it didn't take long for the company to notice a rather massive billboard looming over the building. Realizing that a hovering, monolith-sized ad for the latest blockbuster movie could affect the ability of customers, on the busy stretch of Melrose Avenue, to see the storefront, they decided to lease it. A successful collaboration with New-York-based A4 Studio resulted in this series of iconic designs that provide an evolving commentary on the textile industry, the unique showroom and the construction of Maharam’s fabrics.
