McDonald's "Layover" TV spot

Chicago agency Burrell Communications created this story of two children—an American boy and a Sudanese girl—brought together by food from McDonald's. The spot was created as a “food quality message” intended to run just once at the annual corporate convention, where it debuted in front of 30,000 employees and franchisees. It was so well received by senior vice president and chief marketing officer Neil Golden, that it was selected for inclusion in the company's 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics media buy.
