MPBA commemorative book
MPBA is the first commemorative book for Mexico City’s Palacio de Bellas Artes Museum and was conceived as a tribute to it in every sense. The book is a reflection of the museum and its elegant, dynamic and timeless nature. The content is a compilation of archived images, records and employee interviews with former directors. It is a visual essay of the art that has been exhibited in the museum from its beginnings in 1934, with written essays about its famous murals and their recent reinterpretations by contemporary artists. MPBA tells a story of this most important Mexican museum in an honest and self-critical way. The project was developed in collaboration with Caviar Izquierda and the Institute of National Bellas Artes and designed by Savvy Studio.
