The Opposite House visual identity
Identity, Consumer
Hong Kong-based Marc & Chantal Design developed a visual identity for Swire’s first hotel in Beijing; The Opposite House opened in summer 2008 in the city’s most recent trendy destination, The Village in Sanlitun. Inspired in their task by the work of the hotel’s architect, world-renowned Kengo Kuma, Marc & Chantal Design adopted an overall approach in line with the luxurious, yet strikingly simple and natural style of the space. The “kissing Ps” logomark provides a distinctive, elegant and instantly recognizable monogram. The rich graphic was applied to a full range of printed items, from playfully-labeled in-room menus and door knob signs to stationery and other collateral items.
