Queen Bee Waxing posters
Posters, Consumer
The client, who also happens to be a friend of Hanlon Worldwide Industries (Los Angeles, California), approached the agency with a rare opportunity to do something fun. Queen Bee was looking for something to put on the walls of three waxing rooms in the salon that would be humorous conversation starters. When the work was presented, the laughing didn’t stop for five minutes. Then they agreed to do it. There are three executions in the campaign: a cat, a beaver and a rooster, and not a single animal was actually waxed. The toughest part of producing the campaign was creating a digital beaver, without hair, from scratch. The other two animals, hairless cats and featherless roosters, both exist in the real world so getting photos of those was easy by comparison.
