The Rural Alberta Advantage gig poster

Posters, Entertainment

This three-color, screen-printed gig poster for The Rural Alberta Advantage, was inspired by the band’s personal connection with their hometown area, Central and Northern Alberta, Canada, and song lyrics from their debut album Hometowns. Many of the band’s songs focus on hometowns and heartbreak. The flower depicted in the poster is used in much of the band’s merchandise and represents the official flower of Alberta—the wild rose.

Brian Danaher, art director/designer/illustrator; VGKids, screen printing; Cedar Cultural Center, client.
