Sprint/Nextel Direct Connect Web films
Online Ads, Business
Goodby, Silverstein & Partners approached production/animation company Superfad with a series of scripts describing how people have actually used the Sprint/Nextel Direct Connect system in real life situations. The case studies contained a healthy amount of context and information to explain how the network was used to aid in each situation, whether finding someone in the woods or coordinating hundreds of workers to aid in disaster relief. From them, Superfad produced two new animated Web films. The main creative challenge was to find a balance between style and mood—providing the right amount of information while maintaining a personal feel to compel viewers to watch. The spots needed to be lighthearted enough to be entertaining but maintain a level of seriousness so as to not undermine the weightiness of the content. Information graphics were a natural fit.
