University of São Paulo exhibit

Environmental Graphics, Self-Promotion

Rex Design (São Paulo, Brazil) conceived and assembled a temporary exhibition, The Founders: Teachers of USP's First Graduation Course in Philosophy Science and Languages 1936/1937, for the University of São Paulo—one of the most renowned Universities in Latin America—to honor the pioneer professors of the institution. Set outside of the University's bookstore, The Founders breaks traditional indoor exhibition concepts with seventeen giant (1.8m high) chairs, made of wooden boards and displaying the professors pictures and profiles, placed randomly around a patio.
