While Weber has published best-selling cookbooks for more than a decade, Denver-based rabble+rouser helped them think outside the book by creating a mobile grilling companion that lets grill lovers access information anywhere at anytime. The app features 250 triple-tested recipes, a grilling timer, a shopping list, 40 recipes for rubs, sauces and marinades, and grilling guides, videos, tips and techniques. Users can browse recipes by category, tag favorites and create a master grocery list to take shopping. The app even has a built-in grilling timer. Within days, On the Grill became one of the top apps in the lifestyle category in the iTunes store, and was selected by Apple to featured in national print advertising, on the homepage of the app store, and featured in iTunes e-mail blasts. It debuted in the top 20 paid apps in the lifestyle category and to date, it has a 4.5 star user rating.
