Duration: I decided that I'd be a photographer eleven years ago, but have been shooting professionally for only four years. Staff: I usually work alone on personal projects. For commissions, it's me and one or two assistants and a supportive team at my agency INSTITUTE For Artist Management. Education: Santa Monica College, Brooks Institute of Photography, The School of Hard Knocks. Cultural Influences: I draw inspiration from my childhood memories of life on St. Kitts, family, wonderful friends, great cinema (mostly foreign), old school reggae, dance hall music ( some), hip hop and soul music, HBO, the energy of New York's streets, fashion, great photographers, food, exploring foreign cultures, the ocean, meeting beautiful people all over the world, analog photography, God. Environment: My home office is in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, but a lot of my work is done on location all over New York. There is so much energy and culture here, that I could work the streets my whole life and never cover it all. Philosophy: Live your best life now.
