Duration: After graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2004, I became a full- time illustrator in 2007. Staff: Only me, though the increasing volume of admin as the business grows is making the thought of an assistant increasingly appealing. Education: An illustration degree from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. After graduation I worked for three years at Edinburgh Printmakers during which time I honed my screen-printing skills. Cultural Influences: Mid-century moderns, surface pattern design, beautiful packaging, decorative arts and children’s books. Environment: A cozy studio in my Edinburgh tenement home, within walking distance of the city’s botanic gardens and my favorite swimming pool. Philosophy: Work hard and remember that all problems can be put in perspective by a good swim and a cup of tea.
