Duration: Beautiful in its third year. Staff: Just me (Roy Poh) most of the time. Education: Attended a two-day cement-making class before I decided that I wasn't cut-out for engineering. Took a visual communication course for three years and earned a diploma. Cultural Influences: International, mostly. Singapore is a very young country with a short cultural history. Most of my influences are from TV shows, movies, traveling, the Internet and people from everywhere. All of that allows me to better understand the world. Environment: The attic of a three-story house, with plywood shelves filled with books, a fish tank, toys and several antlers on the walls. A food street that is only crowded at night and roamed by students roams in the day. Philosophy: Beautiful is about looking at things differently. It's about perception. It's about beauty in imperfection, beauty in the ordinary, beauty in everything. Most of all, it's about finding silver linings and living a happy life.
