Duration: Four years on my own. Staff: Myself, my three crazy labs: Rio, Sunny and Cash, a great retoucher/assistant (works from Alta, Utah), and an awesome rep. Education: Self taught, plus six years spent assisting photographers that inspired me. Cultural Influences: Autos from the '60s, the ocean, the mountains, good barbecue, John Mellencamp, Ridley Scott, Michael Mann, surf culture, the South, Sundance Channel’s Iconoclast, Clemson Football and watching sunsets from my surfboard on Hanalei Bay. Environment: A small one-story barn next to my home with inspiring views of the Pioneer Mountains. Inside you’ll find a killer coffee maker and music pouring out the windows. This makes for a great office when not on the road. I am really lucky to live and work out of such an amazing spot. Philosophy: Surround yourself with great people. A smile goes a long way. Always get in the other guy’s shoes. And remember this job of photography is fun.
