Duration: Exopolis was founded back in aught-two, six years of joy and pain, sunshine and rain.

Staff: Twenty-five full-time.

Education: We gently pluck from design schools, film and television programs, art academies and music programs the world over. Schools from which we’ve recruited include Art Center College of Design in Pasadena; NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts; Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles; California College of the Arts, in San Francisco and Oakland; Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia; and Hyper Island in Karlskrona and Stockholm, Sweden.
Cultural Influences: Everything, from the artistic to the poptastic.

Environment: We’re a fully multidisciplinary studio, meaning we don’t have separate silos for Web and broadcast. This results in a collaborative environment, with producers, writers, strategists, designers, programmers and designers all working together in an open space, with a minimum of name-calling.

Philosophy: Great design is in our DNA—we’ve won awards for our interactive projects, our broadcast projects and projects that combine both. Aside from this, we are genetically identical to human beings. We believe that one creative vision executed by one studio across both broadcast and interactive means stronger work, more consistent messaging and ultimately a more effective response. We believe that creative diversity is strength. Exopolis concepts, develops and executes many different kinds of projects, with different types of clients, industries, platforms and technologies. It’s all about agility and flexibility in a changing world.
