Duration: La Boca was formed in 2002 by me (Scot Bendall) and business partner Alain de la Mata. Staff: Currently four (maybe a fifth on the way). Education: A Bachelor of Arts (with honors) degree from Portsmouth University and a Masters Degree from Central Saint Martins, London. Cultural Influences: That changes daily, but today it’s Malevich, Emperor Machine, Emil Ruder, Adi Dassler, Vaughn Bode, Hans Schleger, KRS One, Yoshitomo Nara, Dabrye, Pucci, Roots Manuva, Moholy-Nagy, Andreas Gursky, The Stenberg Brothers, Aubrey Beardsley, Dieter Roth, Ginger Beer and, of course, Monty Python. Environment: A small but lively studio overlooking Portobello Market in West London. Philosophy: We put the Ape into Apricot.
