Duration: Without bosses since 2004, with bosses before that, and a lifetime of experimentation.
Staff: Me and my doggy sidekick, Zebedee.
Education: Bachelor of Arts from Brown University with a little help from its across-the-street neighbor, the Rhode Island School of Design.
Cultural Influences: The dictionary, New York City, struggle, rust, great minds, great athletes, family, my magical muse SP, documentaries, sugar, the sweet smell of art supplies, my 1945 Remington DeLuxe typewriter, living overseas, my high school English teacher, handmade books and journals, Polaroids, Willy Wonka, chicks who ride tigers in bikinis.
Environment: I work in a cluttered loft in Brooklyn with a great view of The Apple, trying to drown out the sounds of car alarms and jackhammers.
Philosophy: Dig deep, write it all down, think, think and rethink, keep moving, make a mess, reinvent trash, get a thick skin, go after what you want, never give up.
