Duration: Five years. Staff: Just me. Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts, 2004, College for Creative Studies. Cultural Influences: My biggest influence has been that of a fellow artist, Jacob Thomas. He is a wonderful teacher, mentor and a good friend who’s taught me to always be true to myself, and in doing so, he instilled a confidence that continues to grow with each new opportunity. Another huge influence has come from the great inspiration of artist John Ritter. Six years ago John opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of illustration. He’s also been a constant inspiration in my life and has helped me develop not only as an artist, but as a human being. Above all, without the love and support of my wife and family, none of these creative actions could be possible. Other influences include: Robert Riggs, Alphonse Mucha, Norman Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth, Edel Rodriguez, Yuko Shimizu, Brian Stauffer, David Kinsey, Rogo, Dave Chow and Joy Borelli-Edwards. Environment: I work from my home studio in Pittsburgh. Philosophy: Stay humble, work harder than you ever have and be true to yourself.
