What's the primary challenge when you're telling a story in an interactive medium?

Bart Marable has been telling interactive stories since discovering HyperCard in
1989. In 1995 he founded Austin, Texas-based Terra Incognita, a design studio specializing
in interactive media for museums. In 2008, Terra Incognita joined Cortina Productions,
where Marable is now senior interactive designer. He has led the design of dozens
of projects for clients such as the Smithsonian, National Geographic, Library of
Congress, Lucasfilm and J. Paul Getty Museum and his work has won awards from nearly
every major industry competition, including two Webby Awards. Marable earned a master's
degree in history from Louisiana State University and lives in Austin with his wife
and son.
