Rachel Pasqua is director of mobile strategy at New York-based iCrossing. As a digital strategist, she’s interested in ambient media—the rapidly evolving interactive ecosystem that exists beyond the traditional desktop. A firm believer in platform agnostic brand strategy, Pasqua’s a vocal proponent of using emerging media like mobile Web, Near Field Communications, social media, GPS and image recognition to build strong relationships between brands and their consumers. She has worked in the interactive industry since 1997 as an interactive writer, producer and strategist, and her background beyond the Web and mobile includes seven years spent in film production as a screenwriter, producer and development executive. A frequent speaker at industry events, Pasqua’s insights on mobile, social and ambient marketing are frequently quoted in the media.
