webpick of the week
Services, Business
From the slide transitions to the illustration style, an old microfiche machine inspired the initial direction for this site experience that matches this law firm’s high profile cases. Defined by the content, with special focus on the firm’s experience in the industry, the site structure is simple with an intuitive learning curve and straightforward access to content.
• It took three people—a designer, developer and illustrator—working closely with the client, three-and-a-half months to complete the site. During that time, they were also creating a new logo and a few other identity materials.
• Because of the unique section transitions, a dynamic editing tool was integrated to make updates and add new sections without having to break it apart to do so.
• With the type of no nonsense clientele the site attracts, a low load time was a high priority, which is why any type of numerical preloader animation was dropped.
• Seven animations and seven profile illustrations were created for the partners profiles and and eight video captures were integrated for the services area to showcase Impact’s work.
* The look-and-feel of the site has been translated into all of the company’s marketing materials=.
