This site celebrates Allen Iverson’s tenth career year and Reebok’s newest shoe, the Answer IX. Like many sport apparel sites, the core audience for this one is 13- to 21-year-old males. But, its ability to draw-in basketball enthusiasts of all ages, is what makes it so successful. It’s simple (with plenty of engaging content), sophisticated and well-organized with a nice balance of rich graphic assets and efficient performance.
•The global nav, in a footer position, provides the graphic weight for the site. It’s a handful of large text buttons that on rollover expand to oversized video thumbnails.
• A “scrapbook” documents Iverson’s career highlights, through photos and newspaper clippings. It not only offers a close-up look at this remarkable athlete but the interactivity keeps visitors entertained and involved.
