This showcase presents a Calfornia-based product design firm’s award-winning projects -- and the creative process behind them. The site’s an eye-catching display of the studio’s work, but its real achievment is the unique navigation interface that’s at once immersive, interactive and totally appropriate for the company. It takes presenting informative content, while immersing visitors in rich visuals, to a new level. It’s a great portfolio-based presentation that also expresses the guiding philosophies behind the studio’s work.
• They’ve condensed some fairly lofty concepts into precise, pointed sentences that aren’t filled with self-importance.
• Because the interface centers around a changing object, a lot of time was spent on making smooth transitions in and out of sections.
• Two unique paths to content -- one that’s exploratory and another that offers more linear browsing -- both allude to the nature and philosophy of the business and they’re just plain cool launches into content
