webpick of the week
Consumer Goods, Business
This site for custom doors is both functional and perfectly branded for the diverse audience interested in outfitting high-end homes. With a retail feel coupled with the complete information required of specifiers, it does a nice job of representing the product and making it appealing to three distinct groups (architects/designers, builders/contractors and consumers) each with distinct needs.
• Two strategic sub-homepages for residential and commercial users are highlighted on rollover with an orange overlay to reveal the two key paths to finding the right door.
• A cool, XML motion graphics module on the home page, that manages the photography and product numbers and links each image to corresponding catalog information, is well-thought balance of function and form with an immediate payoff.
• The three-month-long project has met with unprecedented praise from the client and been touted throughout the industry as a "major advance."
