London-based design firm Zak Group created a website for Dyvik Kahlen Architects—also based in London—that produces new associations between its projects. Each time visitors refresh the homepage, the site randomly selects projects to display, cementing serendipitous connects between the architectural firm’s buildings, exhibitions and proposals. Project pages are conceived as long scrolls which privilege process and give the user freedom to choose content. Full-screen pop-overs enlarge conceptual drawings, sketches and photographs. The fully responsive website also includes a sortable spreadsheet-like index which lists projects by name, completion date, location, type and size.
