The 30 Beers for 30 Years Series is an ambitious collaboration of beer and art in celebration of Widmer Brothers' 30th Anniversary. From April 2014 to April 2015—the month Widmer Brothers was founded in 1984—the brewery will release 30 small batch beers. Each 22-ounce release commemorates a specific beer from the brewery's history, including both old favorites and beers long-forgotten. Thirty local artists and designers were tapped to design the screen-print bottle art for the series, interpreting their beer of choice. The designs range from whimsical, such as for the oldest brew, Altbier, to geometric, for the Mäerzen brew inspired by the Bavarian flag. The project's website features sophisticated animation of the bottle graphics.
