DDB New York encourages creatives to “keep fighting the good fight” in an integrated media campaign promoting the ADC 91st Call For Entries. Launched online and through a global print mailing in early November, the campaign is a nod to all the pain and suffering that creative types endure in order to produce great ideas. From getting the idea through the account team, to the client meeting and finally into production, there are so many obstacles and so many casualties. The agency worked with Finnish illustrator, Rami Niemi to design artwork for eleven posters and postcards showing humorous situations in modern day advertising that illustrate the impediments and hurdles to creating great work. To further spread the word, the agency tapped renowned comedian Lewis Black, famous for his idiosyncratic comedy, for this animated foul-mouthed rant featuring Black channeling his inner advertising creative and fuming about the pressures of agency life. Deadlines for entry are in January 2012.
