BBDO New York was chosen to support the launch of the 24-hour BBC World News channel in the U.S. Available in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide, BBC World News reaches 279 million households (139 million 24-hour homes) and more than 1 million hotel rooms. Efforts for the campaign focused on developing out-of-home advertising that would appeal to both potential viewers and system carriers. It’s composed of a digital billboard located at 50th and Broadway; four wild postings that show “both sides of the story”; and a series of commute ads that at first glance appear to be maps but are actually a collage of images. The campaign debuted in the New York metropolitan area in June.
