The Brown Palace partnered with Wynkoop Brewing to make a beer with a special ingredient—honey from the beehives on top of the famous hotel. When it was time for a name and identity, the brewers turned to Karsh Hagan (Denver, Colorado). The name quickly highlights what makes this beer unique and the identity incorporates a modern vibe that integrates seamlessly with the timeless look of The Brown Palace. The logo was placed on T-shirts, glasses, coasters and tap handles and, after drinking a couple dozen growlers, was ultimately included on a poster. The beer was a hit at the Great American Beer Festival.
