“Our roots lie in the craft of advertising typography, so when Berlin Cameron called we jumped at the chance,” confirmed Graham Clifford. “And there’s such a heritage of classic type in whisky ads; the communications them- selves have to reflect the craft and patience that goes into the making of the product. We customized fonts to match the layout of the original bottle label designs, and tracked down a wood engraver in England for the illustrations. After we designed and crafted the type, the labels were printed, embossed, foil stamped, die-cut, wrapped around bottles and then photographed. The ads will run in various magazines.”
