This past summer, at top culinary and BBQ festivals across the country, hungry crowds savored the hard-earned flavors of meat, smoke and bourbon thanks to grill brand Big Green Egg’s ongoing partnership with Knob Creek, Beam Suntory’s craft bourbon brand. Austin-based Preacher, Knob Creek’s agency of record, helped bring the experiential activation, dubbed Whiskey and Eggs, to life. It featured the talents of Texas meat king Daniel Northcutt and cocktail hero Chris Bostick, who created food and drink pairings highlighting smoked oak and patience—two of Knob Creek’s main ingredients. The tasty fare was served to festivalgoers and critics inside a canvas-and-wood tent designed by Preacher and built by Austin-based Kartwheel Craftsmanship. Drenched in summer vibes and tinged with smoke, Whiskey and Eggs told the story of craft, flavor and a life fully lived.
