Tom Porter started Lake Louie Brewing during a self-described midlife crisis. After spending over 20 years as an engineer, Porter was looking for a big change in his life. With a few years of home brewing experience, Porter wrote a business plan, cashed in his 401(k) and converted a metal storage shed on his property into a three-barrel brewery.
Today, Lake Louie has expanded to a fifteen-barrel Arena, Wisconsin–based brew house. In 2016, Lake Louie produced seventeen different varieties, five being year-round staples. Fans can stop by on select Saturdays to tour the brewery and sample new and old creations.
To celebrate the brewery’s growth, Madison, Wisconsin–based ad agency Shine United designed a poster series that trumpets Porter’s story. By using the brand’s colors and elements, honest headlines, and photography, the posters share the hard work, dedication and countless beverages behind Lake Louie Brewing.
