Madison, Wisconsin-based Shine Advertising launched this campaign to show that Madison Mallards baseball is more than just a ballgame. While baseball is America's pastime, not everyone gets so excited about pinch-hitters and double-plays that they rush out to buy season tickets to watch the local amateur team. And although beer and peanuts are nice, they're not always enough to fill the stands. But, people attending a Madison Mallards game are treated to pre-game live music, games and play areas for kids, food, fireworks and, of course, plenty of frosty beer. It's baseball meets the circus; an event worth experiencing. The ad campaign conveys that. Reminiscent of old carnival or circus posters they look and feel nostalgic while the headlines are fun and playful.
