Members of design and production company karlssonwilker inc. had been huge fans of the band GusGus, and they were thrilled to produce the band’s new music video. A multi-dimensional bombardment of shapes, colors and movements keeps the viewer guessing what comes next. Teaming up with longtime friend and collaborator Alex Czetwertynski, the team experimented with various 3-D technology, including video game engines, to transform live-action footage of the band. After karlssonwilker inc. assembled a rough cut in Adobe Premiere, Shane DeBlasio of creative post-production boutique Hooligan expanded on the video with an editorial eye. Stills and clips from the video adorn tour posters and live graphics for the band’s world tour, which kicked off in Copenhagen on August 30th, as well as album and singles artwork.
