MINI has always been anti-guzzler/clunker. So, when Sausalito-based Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners first heard of the Cash for Clunkers program the creative team wondered, “What took the government so long to catch up?” So while every automaker was scrambling to do Cash for Clunker work that was more serious in tone, Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners took a slightly different approach with this bumper sticker—to raise awareness of MINI’s participation and to provide a little good-natured ribbing.
