Marc & Chantal Design Hong Kong conceptualized the first Moët Bar, located in The Shoppes at the Four Seasons—the ultimate luxury shopping destination in Macao. The approach was allegoric, like unveiling a bottle of Moët & Chandon, from the unwrapping of the packaging to the explosion of bubbles.
To accentuate the sensuality of the space, soft and rounded shapes, with layering of fabric, underlined by glowing lighting and a gold diamond crisscross textured wall (inspired by the motif on the packaging and the foil on the neck of the bottle), bring depth and richness to the bar. The epicentre—a golden bubble, covered by 18-carat gold foil on the outside and glass pebbles hand-fixed over a gold glittery surface, inside—comes to life with multi-sensorial features designed by Paris-based agency Volta. Animated by motion sensors, interactive projections of bubbles rise on the walls. Even the air is infused with two unique champagne scents designed by the renowned Givaudan. Two distinct bespoke chandeliers—the first composed of illuminated hand blown glass bubbles, and a second made of more than seven hundred hanging acrylic tubes encapsulating tiny bubbles—create a raising enchantment above the bar.
