When Mark Bloom, founder of the London-based design firm Mash Creative, was approached to design the packaging for OnePlus 2, Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus®’s new “flagship killer” smartphone, one thing became quickly apparent: the 2 in OnePlus 2. To trumpet this modern product offering from OnePlus®, Bloom designed a bespoke 2 symbol to work across the phone’s packaging, from the box to the screen protector. The symbol, emblazoned on the front of the box, catches the eyes of customers, and upon unwrapping the packaging, they find a crisp color palette of bright red and white, a striking backdrop for the black smartphone nestled within.
