Spain-based agency Masquespacio designed Onok Lighting’s stand, shown in Germany at the 2016 Light + Building trade fair, to shine a spotlight on the lighting brand’s recently freshened brand image. Masquespacio took a leaf from its own book by emulating its recent campaigns for Onok Lighting’s new product launches. Ana Milena Hernández Palacios, Masquespacio’s creative director, says, “What we look for in each project is to create a continuous experience, and that way, surprise visitors in each part of the space they are going to discover. At the booth of Onok Lighting, still maintaining an exhibition aspect, we seek to entertain visitors from the beginning to the end through colors, messages and forms while they get to know the technical lighting firm’s new products.” The design of Onok Lighting’s stand sought to play with viewers’ perceptions through phrases like “Colours are brighter when the mind is open” and “When you feel colours, you will understand the why of their forms.” Decorative elements, from black pineapples to gold axes, adorned walls of different panel forms and unreal colors, ultimately allowing visitors to truly live an experience from the stand’s beginning to its end.
